A Very Jewish Christmas Spectacular

Who says it sucks to be Jewish on Christmas? From the seasonal sales to the holiday hits, pretty much everything America loves about Christmas was created by Jewish immigrants.

Part comedy history, part late night-style variety show, and all wrapped up in a very Jewish spin on the Radio City spectacular, A Very Jewish Christmas Spectacular tells the ironically true story of the Jewish immigrants who wrote today’s biggest Christmas hits, including White Christmas, The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire), and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Last year’s sold out show at The Fillmore in San Francisco featured comedians The Sklar Brothers, a tribute to Jewish super promoter Bill Graham, and music from The Adam Schulman Quartet (SF Jazz) fronted by Israeli Jazz vocalist Noah Levy.

  • It’s a holiday spectacular with a very Jewish twist. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry because you’re laughing so hard, and you’ll never look at Christmas the same way again. You’re welcome.

  • Thursday, December 8th at 8pm. Take Friday off work if you have to, it’ll be worth it.

  • Yes, it has to be the 8th. Cancel your other plans, this will be way more fun.

  • We have theatre style seating for everyone, because this is a Jewish crowd, and Jews need a seat. The front rows are reserved for presale ticket holders who attended last year’s production, and the rest of the seats are general admission. Make yourself comfortable.

  • It’s a 2 hour show with no intermission. You’ll be in an Uber heading home by 10 o’clock.

  • Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco. JFCS helped more than 120,000 people last year, and they continue to strengthen individuals, families, and communities across the Bay Area facing personal crises or challenges.

  • Every Bay Area Jew who knows is going to be there (now including you).

  • The Fillmore will have concessions, but make it a night out and get dinner beforehand. State Bird Provisions and The Progress are next door, and Fillmore Street and Japantown are packed with great restaurants.

  • Yes please. There are multiple full bars at The Fillmore, and the more you drink the funnier the show will be.

  • Yes. You’ll be fine (statistically speaking).

  • Yes. It’s going to be a great show at an iconic venue, and you should get out of your comfort zone every now and then. It’s pretty much Pac Heights (kind of). You’ll be fine.

  • No, this is a live show that you have to see it in person. The best things in life are not on demand.

  • We’re dressing up, but wear what you want.

  • We are happy to accommodate any and all of your stereotypically Jewish neuroses.

  • Yes (don’t forget your wallet). Before and after the show we invite you to visit our marketplace of local Jewish vendors and purchase our spectacular merchandise.

  • No, but it helps. At least be a little Jew-ish. We’re kidding, of course. All are welcome.

  • You get what you pay for, and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Treat yourself to an amazing live experience you’ll never forget.

  • The Japantown Fillmore Garage is right across the street. Otherwise there’s this tech startup you might have heard of called Uber. Check them out.

  • Do we have to do everything for you? Call a sitter. It’ll be worth it.

  • The cast is made up entirely of Jewish performers, making it the least diverse show in San Francisco. Add it to your Jewish guilt.
